HOUSTON The early morning humidity was so high Friday,Houston-area feel like temperatures were already in the90s before sunrise, said KHOU 11 News Meteorologist David Paul.

As of 5:30 a.m., some areas had a heat index as high as 95 degrees.

What s happening is what s left of Isaac has a little tail that s pulling in humidity off the Gulf of Mexico, said Paul. This is actually one of the far outer bands of Isaac, and it will give us a slight chance of rain today especially south of the 59 corridor toward the coast.

Friday s forecast high is 97 degrees with a 20-percent chance of rain.

Saturday, the rain chance jumps to 40 percent with a high of 97 degrees.

Hot temperatures and cloudy skies will follow us all the way into the start of next week with at least a 20-percent chance of rain in the forecast through Wednesday.
