A suspected robber is behind bars after he apparently targeted the wrong person.

Police arrested 25-year-old James Williams Friday evening.

They say earlier in the evening Williams snatched a lady's phone from her at North Star Mall.

The victim and her friend tackled Williams, knocking his gun loose.

That's when other shoppers jumped in and held him down until mall security got there.

Police believe Williams is responsible for a series of Craigslist iPhone robberies.

He is now facing robbery charges, but not for Friday's incident.

Investigators say the victim grabbed her phone and left before police arrived.

They are asking her to give them a call so they can pursue charges in her case as well.
