HOUSTON -- Fanscan line up and grab a seat Friday night at Minute Maid Park as the Houston Astros open the season at home.

The Astros will take on the Florida Marlins at 6:05 p.m. Friday.

The team and its fans will be treated to some new features at the ballpark.

The most visible would be El Grande, the new video scoreboard. It stands at 54-feet high,124-feet wide and covers 6,696 square feet, according the the Astros organization.

Officials add its the fourth largest board in Major League Baseball.

Street Fest will beheld outside Minute Maid Park Friday at 11:30a.m.

It will boast live music and appearances by several Astros players and personnel.

The Astros organization said the national anthem will be performed by 15-year-old aspiring country singer Mary Sarah, a Sugar Land native.
