BAYTOWN, Texas A serial robbery suspect was detained by employees and customers during a hold-up at a Baytown taqueria Wednesday, police said.
Investigators said the armed suspect walked into the Taqueria Sahuayuo in the 2900 block of Market Street around 6:24 p.m.
He was wearing a black wrap over his face to conceal his identity, and he told the people inside the restaurant he would kill them if they didn t give him money, police said.
But store employees were able to wrestle the gun away from the suspect, and police said the victims detained him after a struggle.
When officers arrived, they said the 16-year-old suspect confessed to three other area convenience-store robberies.
The suspect has since been charged with aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon a first-degree felony.
