HOUSTON - An accident involving a big rig, a motorcycle, and one other vehicle shut down the Southwest Freewaynear Newcastle late Tuesday morning.

Witnesses said the motorcyclist was weaving in and out of traffic before he clipped the side of the big rig and lost control, according to Houston police.

The 35-year-old man was thrown from his green Kawasakiand pronounced dead at the scene.

All northbound traffic on the freeway s mainlanes were forced to exit.

The freeway remained closed for more than two hours.

The victim's name has not been released.
