COLLEGE STATION -- Police reconstructed the deadly weekend crash in College Station to figure out how the two vehicles slammed into each other.
It happened Saturday night just before 10 p.m. along FM 2818. Two students were killed, including one from Texas A&M. Five others were injured and four are still in the hospital.
Police say a Dodge pickup truck carrying six people was pulling out of a drive way when it was T-boned by a second pickup heading south on FM 2818
All seven people were reportedly injured in the wreck.
Police said 20-year-old Nathan Hardcastle and his girlfriend, 19-year-old Taylor Leonard died at the hospital. Both were from the Houston area. Police said Leonard was the driver of the first pick up.
An online profile for Leonard shows that the 19-year-old was a student at Houston Community College. Police said Hardcastle was a sophomore at Texas A&M and studying ecological restoration.
Police have not said if alcohol was a factor or whether the people involved in the wreck were wearing seat belts.
College Station police and TxDOT shutdown FM 2818 for five hours on Tuesday to reconstruct the accident.
