SAN ANTONIO -- Local investigators spent Thursday morning trying to piece together what exactly led up to a woman allegedly stabbing her neighbor in northeast San Antonio.
Police said the pair of females had been in arguments before, but the one on Wednesday night turned physical.
One of the women, a 47 year old, became upset when her 38-year-old neighbor reportedly sprayed her with a water hose while they were arguing.
Officers at the scene said the older woman walked back into her house to grab a kitchen knife and returned to continue the argument with the weapon concealed.
The verbal exchange quickly turned physical and the younger woman was stabbed six times in her arms and legs, according to the San Antonio Police Department.
Investigators said the victim was transported to San Antonio Military Medical Center in stable condition. The older woman was detained for questioning.
The stabbing happened in the 5300 block of Gawain Dr., near Midcrown Drive and Walzem Road, around 11:40 p.m.
