LIBERTY COUNTY, Texas People across the area honored World War II veterans in Liberty County s first ever D-Day Parade on Saturday.
More than 50 veterans were honored for their bravery as part of the event.
I think it s wonderful that we have so many that we have to come out and honor us, E.T. Clark, a veteran, said.
Military aircraft took flight above the parade route, while on the ground parents brought their children out to salute the war heroes.
Children even joined in on the parade red, white and blue everywhere. Every young person waving every flag meant so much to every veteran.
It s something that really needs to be done for the veterans, and I think it s a great thing they re showing the veterans off. There s so many young people that know what a veteran is and what he s gone through, Charlie Grabein, another veteran, said.
Folks in Liberty said it s the least they could do for men who did so much.
