HOUSTON Despite the highly-publicized warnings on the dangers of synthetic marijuana, a Houston mother was arrested after police say she admitted to giving it to her 15-year-old son.
Christine Reyna, 32, was charged with endangering a child.
According to Pasadena police, two bike patrol officers were on duty when they spotted a woman and a teen boy smoking. The 15-year-old threw the cigarette away as officers approached, but they retrieved it. What officers thought was a cigarette actually turned out to be synthetic pot, police say.
The mother then admitted to giving it to her son. Doing so, put her son in danger of physical and/or mental impairment.
Her bail was set at $2,000.
