HOUSTON -- Lottery officials say just one ticket, sold in California, has matched all the winning numbers for the $425 million Powerball jackpot. Another ticket, sold near Houston, won $2 million.

The winning numbers drawn Wednesday night were: 1, 17, 35, 49, 54 and a Powerball of 34.

According to the Texas Lottery s website, a ticket sold at Deer Park Coastal in the 4900 block of Pasadena Boulevard matched five numbers but not the powerball. It s not the big jackpot, but the ticket is worth a cool $2 million after the Power Play option.

At least one other ticket worth a million was sold in New Orleans.

The drawing followed several consecutive drawings that produced no top winner, boosting the jackpot to $425.3 million. That's one of the largest in U.S. history -- but it's still far from the record.

The nation's biggest lottery prize was a $656 million dollar Mega Millions jackpot won in March 2012. The biggest Powerball jackpot was a $590.5 million prize won last May.

Powerball is played in 43 states, Washington, D.C., and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

Now that Wednesday's drawing brought about a winner, the jackpot goes back down to $40 million for Saturday night's drawing.
