HOUSTON - Police in east Houston were called to a fight on a school bus just before sunrise Friday.

The bus was brought to a stop on the frontage road of the East Freeway near McCarty around 6:45 a.m.

A spokesman for the Houston Independent School District confirmed that two students got into a fight. The bus was reportedly on the way to nearby Holland Middle School at the time.

Officers with the Houston Police Department arrived first and then called for HISD police.

The bus was moved to a nearby parking lot while the students were questioned.

There was no early word on arrests or charges stemming from the incident.
