AUSTIN, Texas -- The Austin Fire Department is investigating an attempted arson at a popular restaurant in North Austin.
AFD Battalion Chief Palmer Buck says the fire started around 4:15 a.m. Mondayat the Wings N'More on Howard Lane near Interstate 35. Investigators say someone broke in and started the fire.
Both the fire alarm and the sprinkler systems activated inside the restaurant. AFD reports there was a small fire that caused minor damage to the building.
Investigators are classifying the incident as an attempted arson, but at this time they have no suspects.
Crews are working with the owner to determine if anything was stolen.
