HOUSTON - Fire investigators believe a fault A/C unit set fire to a home in southeast Houston around midnight Monday.

Two people in the home were able to escape without injury.

According to the Houston Fire Department, the blaze was reported on Bataan road near MLK Jr. Boulevard. Firefighters found flames shooting from the back of the house and had to cut a hole in the roof to ventilate it.

The blaze was contained to a back bedroom.
