FORT BEND COUNTY, Texas -- More than $230,000 in cash was seized during a traffic stop on Highway 59 two weeks ago, the sheriff s office said Tuesday.

According to the Fort Bend County Sheriff s Office, a narcotics task force composed of local and federal agencies seized the money on March 19.

The sheriff s office said a deputy stopped a big rig for a traffic violation near FM 2218 in Rosenberg. During the stop he and his K-9 partner located the money hidden in hollowed out car batteries mounted in a tractor that was being transported.

The sheriff s office said Marcos Camacho, 48, of Humble was arrested and booked into the county jail on first degree felony charges of money laundering. Camacho is now out on a $15,000 bond.
