HOUSTON An east Houston man was transported to the hospital Saturday afternoon after a car crashed through his bedroom wall and pinned him, according to Houston police.

Mario Lozano, 56, was in his bedroom napping in a hammock on Mae Drive around 2:30 p.m. while his wife and 1-year-old son sat in the living room. To everyone s surprise, a car came crashing through the bedroom wall, trapping Lozano beneath it.

Neighbors, who said the crashed sounded like thunder, came rushing and managed to carefully pull Lozano to safety. The injured man only wanted to know if his son was harmed.

Lozano was taken to Memorial Hermann Hospital and is expected to be OK.
