HOUSTON The Houston Rockets announced the signings of 2014 first-round draft pick Clint Capela and second-round draft pick Nick Johnson Friday afternoon.

Capela (6-10, 245, Switzerland), who was the 25th overall pick in the 2014 NBA Draft, played two seasons with Elan Chalon s senior squad in France.

With the senior national team, he averaged 12.9 points and 8.1 rebounds. Capela ranks fifth in the LNB in rebounding, second in blocks and two-point field goal percentage (.667).

Capela set a French League record with the highest efficiency record in a game for a player under 20 with 41 points, nine rebounds and seven assists vs. Roanne, surpassing Tony Parker s 38 in May 2001.

Johnson (6-3, 200, Arizona), who was the 42nd overall pick in the 2014 NBA Draft, averaged 12.3 points, 3.7 rebounds and 2.8 assists through three campaigns with the University of Arizona.

Johnson produced a triple double in the Orlando Summer League, scoring 15 points, 10 rebounds, and 10 assists in a 101-75 win against the Brooklyn Nets on July 11.

He competed in all 14 Summer League games, with averages of 13.6 points, 5.1 rebounds and 3.3 assists.

Johnson also earned numerous All-American honors as a junior as well as Pac-12 Player of the Year. He was a finalist for several National Player of the Year awards.

He also led Arizona (33-5) to the Elite Eight and a Pac-12 title.
