HOUSTON --Stafford Police said there may have been a high stakes gambling night taking place after hours in a business that ended with one man's death.

On Thursday night around 8:30 p.m., Stafford police were called to an unmarked office unit on Greenbriar after they received reports that two man tried to rob two men inside. It is unknown at this time if the suspects were part of the event.

Things escalated and police said the men opened fire killing one man and injuring another.

The injured man was taken by Life Flight to Memorial Herman hospital.

The suspects are at large.
