HOUSTON Authorities are searching for at least two suspects after a smash-and-grab robbery Saturday morning in north Houston, police said.

According to the Houston Police Department, it happened at the Thrif-Tee Food Mart around 5:30 a.m.

Police said the suspects hooked a chain around the front door and tied the chain to their stolen SUV and pulled it off.

When the suspect got inside, they couldn t find the cash register or the ATM, so they grabbed about 60 cartons of cigarettes and took off.

Police found the getaway car dumped in a ditch at Irvington and Westford.
