SPRING, Texas A lengthy police chase through Houston ended with a suspect being arrested on the street where his mother lives in Spring early Saturday, police said.

According to the Houston Police Department, it started around 3 a.m. on the Southwest Freeway near Hillcroft when a police unit spotted a car weaving and changing lanes.

The officer attempted to pull the car over, but suspect sped away, police said. He then headed north in the freeway onto the West Loop, taking it up to the North Freeway.

He then headed all the way up to FM 1960, police said. The suspect then headed east to Treaswick, on to Cypresswood and then into the neighborhood where his mother lives.

When the suspect pulled onto his mother s street he was taken into custody, police said. The chase ended near Misty Village and Mesquite Trail.

During the chase, the suspect reached speeds up to 100 mph, police said.

The suspect told officers that he did not want to pullover since he does not have a driver s license and was in possession of marijuana and a gun. Now, he faces felony evading charges as well as weapon possession and drug charges.
