AUSTIN -- Apple's recent expansion created 700 new jobs in Austin, with almost 3,000 more expected over the next few years.

That's according to documents obtained by KVUE's exclusive news partners at the Austin American-Statesman.

Back in 2012 the Austin City Council approved $8.6 million in tax breaks for the computer maker. In exchange, the company moved its Americas Operation Center to Austin, and Apple promised to create an additional 3,600 jobs.
