HOUSTON A speeding motorcyclist was killed when he slammed into the side of a pickup truck late Wednesday, Houston police said.

The crash happened in the 400 block of Little York around 8:45 p.m.

Police said the victim was driving a green Kawasaki ZX14 motorcycle at an estimated 100 mph eastbound on Little York when he struck the rear of a white Nissan Frontier pickup truck making a left turn from Little York onto O Donnell Street.

The impact was so great, it spun the truck around 360 degrees. The 29-year-old victim died at the scene. His identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

A man and his son in the pickup were not hurt.

The driver of the pickup said he didn t even see the motorcycle coming.

No charges are expected in the case, HPD said.
