PORTLAND -- LaMarcus Aldridge had 32 points and 10 rebounds and the Portland Trail Blazers prevailed for a 116-112 overtime victory over the Los Angeles Clippers Thursday night.

The Blazers have won seven of their last eight games.

The Clippers mounted a challenge after trailing by as many as 11 points early in the second half.

Portland clung to a 114-112 lead with 13.4 seconds left and padded it with Wesley Matthews' foul shots.

Chris Paul mailed a 21 foot shot from the corner with 9.3 seconds left abut then he missed a 17 footer to send the game int overtime.

The Blazers prevailed in OT. This is the first of three meetings between the two teams this season.

The Trail Blazers, who can notch their best 29-game start since going 26-3 in 1990-91, are led by the one-two scoring punch of LaMarcus Aldridge and last season's rookie of the year, Damian Lillard.

I didn't know that this would happen going into Christmas but it feels good, said Lillard, averaging 33.7 points in his last three games after he had 29 in Saturday's 110-107 win over New Orleans.

Lillard's backup, Mo Williams, sat out Monday's practice with a bruised right hip and his status is uncertain.
