DALLAS -- Dallas police broke into a school bus and arrested a man Friday who had stolen the bus and was trying to start a fire inside the vehicle.
At 3:14 p.m. officers responded to a disturbance call in the 700 block of Jefferson Boulevard regarding a man entering an unoccupied Jesuit High School bus. Upon arrival, they saw the individual attempting to set fire to some papers that were in his lap.
The officers made forced entry into the bus to prevent the man from doing harm to himself or others and took the suspect into custody. The officers used a Taser on the suspect as they attempted to control him.
The bus had been reported stolen at 1:00 a.m. from the 12300 block of Inwood Road.
The suspect was taken into custody with charges pending.
