HOUSTON Two more HISD schools are now rated academically acceptable by the TEA after the district filed appeals requesting a review of their preliminary academically unacceptable ratings.

Ryan Middle School and Wilson Montessori are now considered to have met state standards during the 2010-2011 school year, the TEA said.

The corrected ratings bring the total number of rated HISD schools that met state standards last year to 259 out of 282 campuses, or 92 percent.
