KATY, Texas An elderly couple disappeared Sunday after leaving a family member s home near in Harris County and deputies are hoping the public can help find them.

Salomon Gasca, 78, and his wife, Larenza, 75, were last seen around 1 p.m. in the 21000 block of Oak Bridge Park Lane.

They were leaving a family function in their car were supposed to drive to another family member s home about a mile away, but never made it.

The couple s son said the two were inseparable.

They do everything together, go everywhere together, said Sal Gasca. They ve been married for 50-plus years.

According to family members, Larenza Gasca left her cell phone at home when the two set off from their house in east Houston to Katy.

We re just grasping at straws hoping maybe they are lost, admits daughter-in-law Christine Gasca. We re just hoping for the best.

Investigators checked surveillance tape from nearby grocery stores, hoping to find some answers. So far, there s still no sign of the couple.

Freeway billboards around the state are posting the information about the couple.

Authorities said Salomon Gasca was wearing a maroon polo shirt, black pants and black shoes when he was last seen. Larenza Gasca was wearing a burgundy and tan floral shirt, black pants and black tennis shoes.

Both need blood pressure medicine and family members say that Salomon Gasca has Alzheimer s.

Family and friends gathered late Monday afternoon at the Crosspoint Community Church in Katy to pass out flyers about the couple. Equusearch has also joined in the search.

They were driving a silver 2005 Toyota Corolla with Texas plates 543-DBL.
