PASADENA, Texas Pasadena police are concerned that a teenage girl may have been abducted Friday morning near a KFC restaurant on Spencer Road.
Police were initially called after a 13-year-old girl reported a man tried to lure her into his car while she was at the bus stop at 6565 Spencer Highway.
Her friends helped her fight, screaming and hollering to get rid of this guy, said the girl s mother, who didn t want to be identified. They ran on the bus with her.
When the victim arrived at Deep Water Junior High, she told her counselor what happened and police were called.
The girl s mother said they just moved to Pasadena from Buffalo, New York.
We haven t been here in Texas long. It s making me want to leave, she said.
Deep Water staff members were notified and a bus driver told police she d seen another possible abduction attempt Friday morning. She noticed a silver Lincoln Town car near the KFC restaurant at 6700 Spencer. She said a girl, believed to be 14 to 15, was talking to the driver. The driver matched the description of the man who tried to abduct the 13-year-old.
The bus driver didn t see the second girl get into the car, but police are concerned about her welfare. She had long blonde hair and a pink backpack.
The man is described as a black male, 50 to 60 years old with a black beard. He was wearing a black ball cap and black jacket. He had a deep voice, according to the first girl.
His vehicle is believed to be a silver 4-door Lincoln Town Car with dark tinted windows.
When the first girl s mother learned about the second possible case, she broke down in tears. They were tears of relief that her daughter is OK and wasn t taken.
Other parents in the area are keeping a close eye on their children.
I live here, my children play right here. It could be somebody that lives here, Angela Castillo said.
David Baudry said he s watching his daughter like a hawk. It s sick, it s crazy. I know she s not going to be out by herself.
