HOUSTON Police have arrested a teenage suspect wanted in connection with the shooting death of a man outside of a southwest Houston grocery store last month.
Jesus Francisco Morales, 18, was taken into custody Saturday and is charged with murder in the death of Carlos Morales (no relation), 33, of Houston, according to the Houston Police Department.
Jesus Francisco Morales turned himself in to police and admitted to his involvement in the shooting.
A second suspect, described as a Hispanic male wearing a dark blue polo shirt and light blue shorts, also remains at large.
According to Houston police spokesman Thomas Ferguson, the homicide happened on Aug. 25 in the 10400 block of W. Bellfort Avenue around 9 p.m.
Patrons in the food store said two men started arguing outside, and one of them pulled out a gun and shot the other one multiple times. At least four to five shots were fired, witnesses said.
The victim, Carlos Morales, was sent to Ben Taub Hospital where he later died.
