HOUSTON - A man on a sport bike is accused of leading Houston police on a chase along the North Freeway and into downtown.

Officers with the Houston Police Department said it was around midnight Thursday when the motorcyclist refused to pull over for a traffic violation at Crosstimbers.

The biker got on the freeway southbound, and he took the Dallas Street exit into downtown, police said.

The suspect was arrested after he hit a curb at Clay Street. Police said there were several warrants out for his arrest, which is likely why he ran.
