PASADENA, Texas -- Crime Stoppers and investigators with the Pasadena Police Department are asking for the public s help in finding the suspect responsible for kidnapping a young girl in a Pasadena neighborhood.

Officials said the incident happened on the morning of February 24.

Authorities said the suspect drove into a neighborhood located in the 700 block of Richey. There, the suspect kidnapped a 6-year-old female around 11:30 a.m. The child was sexually assaulted by the unknown male and after an hour, the child victim was returned to the area of her abduction.

Police describe the suspect as a light skinned white or Hispanic male.

Home surveillance video recently obtained by investigators is believed to show the suspect's vehicle driving through the neighborhood. Authorities believe the vehicle is a dark colored 2005 Chevy Impala with a distinctive silver panel on the front passenger's side.

Anyone with information about the identity of the suspect is asked to contact Crime Stoppers of Houston at 713-222-TIPS (8477).

Crime Stoppers will pay up to $5,000 for any information called in to the 713-222-TIPS (8477) or submitted online that leads to the arrest of the suspect in this case. Tips can also be sent via text message. Text TIP610 plus your tip to CRIMES (274637).
