HOUSTON Some Sugar Land residents joined together to help rescue a group of baby ducklings from a sewage drain.

It happened Tuesday in the 6600 block of Greatwood Drive.

The mama duck walked across a sewage drain and as the 10 baby ducks attempted to follow, they fell through the grate.

The mama duck circled the grate covering the drain as her babies cried down below.

Using brooms and a dust pan a group of residents managed to rescue seven of the ducklings. Three remained in the sewer, and the residents said they hoped to rescue them on Wednesday.
