Texas Rangers TV broadcaster Dave Barnett still doesn't know if a migraine led to his bizarre babbling during a game last month.
I'm no closer to figuring out what the heck that was than I was two weeks ago, and that's with the best possible medical service available, he said, speaking publicly for the first time since the incident on KTCK SportsRadio 1310 The Ticket Monday afternoon.
The interview came just hours after Barnett announced that he will sit out the rest of the season.
The 54-year-old broadcaster previously said he had a complicated migraine during the June 18 Rangers game in San Diego.
Barnett told The Ticket he didn't realize what happened that night until he saw himself on Good Morning America the next day.
It was... I was really... at that point concentrating at trying to get back on that night, he said. When that wasn't going to happen, things shifted to 'What in the world was this?' That's kind of where it's been ever since.
For now, Barnett says he's been seeing lots of specialists, but he still has no answers.
Barnett also praised the Rangers and thanked fans for their support.
