HOUSTON A group of kids in Houston set up a lemonade stand on Saturday to help three children whose parents were killed in a car wreck last weekend.

The children set up the stand near the intersection of Newcastle and Evergreen in southwest Houston.

These kids are very sad about their parents, said volunteer Alexa Shwartz. We re selling lemonade and cookies and I mean and cupcakes and we really want to enjoy it and pay a donation to help those kids.

The stand raised thousands of dollars, which will go toPeter, Aaron and Willa Berry. They were returning home from a vacation in Colorado last weekend when their minivan was struck by an oncoming car.

Both parents -- Josh and RobinBerry --died in the crash. Josh Berry ran for Houston City Council in 2003.

All three children were injured, two of them critically. They were brought back to Houston last week after several days in a Lubbock hospital.
