HOUSTON The rolling power outages and extreme weather conditions across the state Wednesday have forced a number of schools to either close or move classes to a new location.

HISD said power at Pin Oak Middle School has been restored. The children were not moved to another location.

The power at KashmereHigh School has been restored and the students sent to Key Middle School earlier today will return to their original campus.

HISD also said there will be no soccer games played through Friday.

Fort Bend ISD, Alief ISD, Klein ISDand Cy-Fair ISD said school is in session and will deal with the rolling outages as they come.

Spring ISD will dismiss early due to rolling blackouts and the need to conserve energy. All schools will dismiss three hours after their regular start time. Bus transportation will follow the early dismissal schedule. For more information on the exact time, contact your child s school.
