CLEVELAND, Texas Ten people were being questioned Fridayin connection with the alleged sexual assault of an underagegirl, investigators said Friday.

Investigators aren't releasing many details, but they described the case as horrible.

It is ugly. Yes sir, it is. And, like I say, these folks will be brought to justice, said Cleveland Police Chief Mark Bradshaw. So we want to be very thorough and make sure that all the individuals who were involved in this awful offense is definitely taken into custody.

Sources said the victim was somewhere between 11 and 14 years old.

ClevelandISD police said a girlreported the alleged assault to her principal s office in early December. She said it happened at an off-campus location over the Thanksgiving holiday.

Texas Rangers and Cleveland police searched an abandonedmobile home Friday near the corner of Ross and Second Street in the small Liberty County town.

Investigators also confiscated some cell phones because of unconfirmed reports the allegedassault was recorded and shown around town.

Investigators said they expect to charge several young men with aggravated sexual assault of a minor under the age of 14.

By Friday afternoon, no charges had been filed.
