HOUSTON The toddler who was killed on July 24 in Walker County was at the center of a custody battle between his parents.

Eighteen-month-old Aiyden Bejamin Lewis and his grandmother Shanta Faye Crawford were found dead at their home located off Highway 30 just west of Huntsville.

Investigators still have not said how the victims died, but did say they re still looking for information from the public to help solve the case.

The boy s mother, Tiffany Crawford, also lived at the home. She and his father, Howard Lewis, were supposed to go to court in October in the custody case.

Court documents show Lewis did not exercise his right to have Aiyden this summer. He could have kept him from mid-June until July 27, three days after the killings.

Both parents are state prison guards. Crawford works in Huntsville and Lewis works in Dallas.
