THE WOODLANDS, Texas -- Firefighters were called to a home in The Woodlands early Monday evening after a possible lightning strike started a fire.

According to Captain David with The Woodlands Fire Department, it happened around 6:30 p.m. on Sagamore Ridge Place as storms moved through the area.

People were home at the time, but no injuries to the residents were reported. Their home was extensively damaged, however.

The fire captain said one firefighter hurt his knee and another was treated for heat exhaustion.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
