CLEBURNE -- Johnson County authorities say the arrests of a 43-year-old woman and her 26-year-old daughter on theft charges should clear about a dozen theft cases in the county just south of Fort Worth.

Sheriff's Capt. Mike Gilbert tells the Fort Worth Star-Telegram that deputies who arrested Cathy Silva at her home Wednesday found several items that had been reported stolen.

Silva's daughter, Iris Carroll, then was arrested later Wednesday in Dallas on a warrant accusing her of stealing decorative crosses from a home where she shows up on a security camera video. The tape also shows her taking a pair of wet shoes from the home's porch.

Silva's held on $10,000 bond. No bail has been set yet for her daughter. They're both in the Johnson County Jail.
