HOUSTON Federal agents stumbled upon what they re calling the largest ecstasy lab ever seen in the Houston area.

The lab was hidden inside a house at the 17600 block of Pattiglen Drivein northwest Harris County.

Homeland Security agents arrived to serve a search warrant at the home. They say a man jumped from a second-floor window and tried to run, but they caught him and took him into custody. The 30-year-old suspect's name hasn t been released.

Agents say they found several pill machines and a bunch of 50-pound bags of pills inside the home.

The individual was putting out hundreds of thousands of pills throughout the last year, said Greg Palmore with Homeland Security Investigations.

They say the walls and floors were coated with half an inch of powder dust. They say the powder is used for pressing and bonding the pills.

No one lives inside the home, according to the agents. They say it was used solely to manufacture ecstasy.
