HARRIS COUNTY, Texas - A family grabbed their dogs and ran out of their Humble-area condo after it caught fire early Tuesday morning, firefighters said.

The Eastex Fire Department was called to the fire on Mesa Drive at Beltway 8-North around 3:30 a.m. One condo had heavy fire shooting from an upstairs bedroom.

A father, his two daughters, and their five dogs made a safe escape.

The fire and water caused a lot of damage, but the flames were mostly contained to the bedroom.

There was no early word on what may have sparked it.
