HOUSTON Two people were tied up in a home invasion robbery Thursday in west Houston, police said.

It happened just before 8 a.m. at the Beverly Palms apartments located in the 6000 block of Beverly Hill Street.

Police said the armed robbers tied up a man and his cousin and then stole jewelry and $600 that was stored in a piggy bank.

The victim was able to get untied when the men left and called his sister, who then called the Houston Police Department.
