HOUSTON - A woman is accused of stabbing a man in the heart after he allegedly threw a book at her during a late-night fight in northeast Houston, police said.
Houston police were called to Dabney Street near Cavalcade Street around 11:30 p.m. Wednesday.
Officers said they found a man stabbed in the chest. He was sent to the hospital in serious condition.
Investigators said they spoke with a woman at the scene, who said she stabbed the man during a fight.
She said she got into an argument with the man, and he struck her in the head with a book. She said she then went into the kitchen and got a large knife to stab him with.
