HOUSTON A 20-year-old man is accused of threatening to kill his ex-girlfriend when he flashed a gun at her on earlier this month while she was waiting for a ride home from school, court documents state.

Miguel Angel Hernandez, of Houston, is charged with exhibition of firearms and remains jailed without bond, court documents state.

According to an affidavit from the Houston Police Department, on June 6, Hernandez approached his ex-girlfriend while she was waiting for a ride in the parking lot of Scarborough High School. The school is located in the 4100 block of Costa Rica Road.

Hernandez went up to the victim and lifted up his shirt, which showed that he had a handgun tucked into the waistband of his pants, the affidavit states. His ex-girlfriend said that he threaten to kill her.

The victim said that she was able to get away after she told Hernandez that she had to go take care of her child.
