FRIENDSWOOD -- A bobcat found in the Friendswood area had to do what most of us hate: Go to the dentist.

The animal was rescued back in December and was in pretty bad shape.

The Wildlife Center of Texas, the Houston Zoo and the Houston PSCA have been working to nurse him back to help. Part of that included giving him a root canal and capping his teeth.

Officials say having those procedures done will help him survive in his natural habitat because once he s ready, he ll be returned to the wild.
