HOUSTON-- A car and a pickup truck collided just before 4 a.m. Tuesday injuring five people, police in south Houston said.

The Houston Police Department responded to the crash at the intersection of Sunbeam Street and Fairland Drive in the Sunnyside community.

Police said a woman was trapped in the pickup and had to be cut out by firefighters. There were four other victims who were sent to the hospital as well, all with various injuries.

HPD was still trying to piece together what caused the crash.
