HOUSTON Friday s forecast calls for a warm and sunnyafternoon, KHOU 11 News Meteorologist Chita Johnson said.

The day started with lows in the low 60s and was expected to top out at 83 degrees in the afternoon.

The seven-day forecast shows we ll start tosee a fewchanges on Saturday. There s a 20-percent chance for rain on Saturday and 40-percent chance on Sunday as a cold front moves through.

It's overnight Sunday into Monday where the chance for showers will kick in, said Johnson. It's really when most of us will be sleeping, and then waking up Monday morning you'll find the temperatures a little bit colder.

Through the weekend temps will be in the 80s, but by Monday the afternoon high will drop into the low-60s. The cooler temperatures will stick with us through all of next week.
