HOUSTON Two teens who shot and killed a Houston minister during a carjacking in July are now off the streets, according to the Harris County Sheriff's Office.
Kesley Kristopher Davis, 19, and Devonte Hayes, 18, were both charged with capital murder in the shooting death of Desmond Jones.
Police said Jones was returning to his apartment in the 12200 block of Old Walters Road from a late-night fast food run on July 21.
Davis and Hayes approached Jones in the parking lot, shot him twice and took off in his silver 2012 Chrysler 300 rental car.
One of the bullets struck Jones in the head. He was airlifted to Memorial Hermann Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Neither suspect was given any bond.
