PORT ARTHUR, Texas Oil from the Deepwater Horizon spill has washed up on a beach in Port Arthur.

Coast Guard investigators discovered the oil Monday on McFaddin Beach.

The largest band of oil was 500 feet wide and the smaller band was 250 feet wide.

Tests at a lab confirmed it came from the BP spill, according to the Coast Guard.

A few gallons of BP tarballs have been found on beaches along Bolivar, Galveston and Port Arthur.

The Coast Guard believes they were brought in by ships, not the current.
