CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- A four-alarm fire broke out in a commercial building Thursday night.

It started just before 8 p.m. in the 2300 block of Toomey Avenue. This is at the Carolina Foods warehouse.

Firefighters say they arrived to find heavy smoke and fire and spent hours getting the fire under control, despite the heavy rain

About 80 firefighters responded and several of them are being treated for exhaustion.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation. There were no reported injuries during the fire.
