HOUSTON It may be a first. A teacher in the Aldine ISD has been charged with inappropriate relationship with a student after allegedly giving a lap dance to a 15-year-old.

Wow, that s sad. That s very sad, Elizabeth Vargas said. Her younger sister attends Stovall Middle School, where the incident allegedly happened.

That s wrong and that s pathetic, parent Nelson Lafleur said. It s never funny to expose a child to adult activity.

Felicia Smith, 42, claims her students convinced her to perform the dance in late February. It allegedly took place in front of a room full of students.

Court documents reveal it lasted nearly four minutes and at one point, Smith was allegedly on her knees with her head between the student s legs. There was music playing and a video camera rolling.

The student told police he grabbed Smith s buttocks and that she said I love you when it was over.

Parents said word spread quickly.

The students know what happened, said Rufus Kemp, father. And really they would be the ones who would be able to tell you what happened because they know.

Ruben Sandoval said he was not surprised and that Smith was once his teacher.

She let the students do whatever they wanted, he said. She didn t care. She let em cuss, do whatever they wanted. She didn t really teach nobody.

Parents said the school notified them of the alleged incident in a letter Friday morning.

Aldine ISD released the following statement:

A criminal charge of engaging in an inappropriate relationship with a student has been filed against a Stovall Middle School teacher. The charge was filed by Aldine Independent School District Police, who investigated the case along with the campus administration. The teacher was removed from the campus during the investigation and has not returned. The district takes this allegation seriously and is fully cooperating with prosecutors. The safety and security of our students will continue to be a top priority in Aldine ISD.
