HOUSTON It s beginning to look a lot like Christmas at the Houston Galleria.

A time-lapse video shows the efforts of workers putting up the Christmas tree at the massive mall.

The 55-foot tree is outfitted with close to a half a million twinkling lights and over 5,000 ornaments.

The video only lasts 30 seconds, but in reality, it took 50 workers more than 13 hours to assemble the tree.

The official tree lighting is Saturday at 6 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.
